CeLEA Merges with CNIE
The Canadian E-Learning Enterprise Alliance (CeLEA) has voted to merge with the Canadian Network for Innovation in Education (CNIE).
The Canadian E-Learning Enterprise Alliance (CeLEA) has been the national association of private sector eLearning and digital communication companies in Canada. The purpose of CeLEA has been to:
- Promote the capabilities and interests of individuals and enterprises engaged in the elearning/digital industry in Canada.
- Promote, model and research excellence in the design, development, and delivery of all technology enhanced learning and communication
CeLEA complements the mission of CNIE, a national organization of professionals committed to excellence in the provision of innovation in education in Canada. Our inclusive culture welcomes all of those interested in examining innovation in education from our K-12 systems, post-secondary organizations, private training, and professional development and those involved in industry – our goal is to provide a space for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation. CNIE members have a special expertise in technology-based learning, open education, and instructional design.
As part of the merger:
- CeLEA members become members in CNIE for the 2021-2022 activity year (through September 30, 2022.
- An event or award to recognize Barry Nicolle, the late past president of CeLEA. CeLEA members will play a leading role in determining the appropriate recognition, something that will continue both his legacy and that of our organization.
Effective immediately, the CeLEA website will redirect to the CNIE website. The CNIE website will recognize the new partnership.
The entire membership of CNIE warmly welcomes CeLEA members to our organization.
