Keynote Session – L(l)eadership in a Time of Uncertainty

Leadership in higher education is challenging at the best of times – and these are not the best of times. Leadership at the top of our organizations is certainly challenging, but what about the everyday small (l) kind of leadership? How do we effectively lead our teams through these uncertain times? How do we lead in our fields or our classrooms? The impact of technology on the way we teach and learn has rarely (if ever) been so contested. Is GenAI helping us or hindering us? What literacies do we need to deal with the information abundance brought to us by all these communication technologies? This presentation will explore how technology has impacted our learning institutions in these uncertain times and discuss how we reframe our approaches to leadership – together.
